First picture was taken at the Cabezo de Alcala, where pre Roman Iberic people
used to live since the 9th century BC !

Below some pictures from Fuendetodos and old "Ice houses" from the middle ages...
People used to store snow in the winter, and sell it in the form of ice in the summer
for food and medical applications.
Here is an interesting article (in spanish) about this industry that was still in use until 1931...

Below: another surreal experience, the old town of Belchite,
which got completely destroyed in the Battle of Belchite during the Spanish Civil War (1937).
Some movies have been shot there, like "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen",
